Privacy Policy

Reda OS ("we", "us", or "our") is operated by Whitney Menarcheck. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

Information we collect

When you create an account and use Reda OS, we collect:

Account information: your name and email address
Household data: everything you choose to store in the app, including calendar events, contacts, travel plans, financial records, health information, dog profiles, and other content you create
Calendar data: if you connect Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook, we access your calendar events to display them alongside your household calendar. We store a copy of your calendar events in our database to power this feature.
OAuth tokens: if you connect Google or Microsoft, we store your OAuth access and refresh tokens to maintain the calendar connection on your behalf
Usage data: basic information about how you use the app, such as which features you use, used to improve the product
Feedback: if you submit feedback through the app, we store your message, the page you were on, and any screenshot you attach

How we use your information

We use your information to:

Provide and operate the Reda OS service
Sync your calendar events between your connected accounts and Reda OS
Power the AI agent features, which read your household data to answer questions and surface relevant information
Improve the product based on usage patterns and feedback

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties except as necessary to operate the service (our infrastructure providers: Supabase for database and storage, Anthropic for AI features, Google and Microsoft for calendar integration).

Calendar and OAuth data

When you connect Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook:

We request only the permissions necessary to read and write calendar events (scope: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar for Google, Calendars.ReadWrite for Microsoft)
Your calendar events are stored in our database to display them in Reda OS
We do not access any other Google or Microsoft data beyond calendar events
You can disconnect your calendar at any time from Settings → Connected Accounts, which removes your OAuth tokens and stops all calendar syncing
Disconnecting does not delete previously synced calendar events from your Reda OS account; you can delete these manually or by deleting your account

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all of your household data is permanently deleted within 30 days. OAuth tokens are deleted immediately upon account deletion or when you disconnect a connected account.

Your rights

You have the right to:

Access your data: all your data is visible within the Reda OS app
Delete your data: you can delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Account → Delete Account
Export your data: contact us to request a data export
Disconnect connected accounts: you can remove Google or Microsoft integration at any time from Settings

Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security to ensure your household data is only accessible to your household members, and secure storage of OAuth credentials.

Children's privacy

Reda OS is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
